Much Ado about A LOT!

Well I just finished my Senior Project. I played Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing. It was such a great experience! It ran from Dec. 3rd thru the 12th at UVU Norda Theatre. This part was so incredible! She is like me in Shakespearean time. I feel like this might be the last show I will do for awhile unless someone just hands me a perfect part and begs me to play it! Then maybe I would consider. It's hard to leave Franklin so much to do a show and now Jake will be in school and working so I'm going to need to be home. I am graduating from College in April, months mere months and I will have what I have worked for, for over 4 1/2 years. I'm so looking forward to being a mom. However, I do feel like I need some advice, I'm just not sure what to do with my days once I've cleaned and made dinner or avoided both of those things succefully I find myself completely bored. I want to help my kids learn and to do things with them but I just wan't seem to think of things to do. Help ME!

Some First!

A little late but I was finally able to get all my pictures uploaded! So I wanted to post some firsts for Franklin.

His first time eating baby cereal!

First Baby Food Carrots!

First time wearing a hat. He was a little mad about it

Baseball game

First time Swinging

I love experiencing all the amazing things he gets to do for the first time. Of course we have pictures and video of his first time crawling and rolling over but I thought these were some fun firsts to share!

I wonder, if you are wondering, what the best improv troop in Utah is? Well if you are still wondering stop! Maybe you should have been at the ultimate improv battle last month! THAT'S RIGHT!!! Thrillionaires won the trophy. For those of you that don't know Jake is a founder of the improv group The Thrillionaires. There was a big competition in Salt Lake last month against 6 or 7 other troops and you guessed it JAKE'S troop won. I am so proud! I love that Jake can do something he loves to do and also that people love him becasue of what he does! Way to go Honey, I love you! Also thanks Anna and Ashley or coming and helping to support our troop!

There were no monkeys BUT I did fall off the bed!

That's right! Apparently I flipped my body around to adjust and toppled to the ground. The sad part about this story is that I really hurt myself! I don't remember falling or even hurting myself I just remember Jake helping me back into bed. Then this morning in class my neck was really hurting and one spot in particular felt like a bruise. Checked myself in he rear view mirror and, YUP a hickey like bruise on my neck. I have tried to piece together the events. I must have tried to roll over, rolled a little too much and smacked my neck on my night stand/table thingy. Jake was startled by me falling and woke up and rushed to my side. I also just now remembered that he did ask me if I was OK and I said, "What are you doing? What happened, OW that really hurt!" So there you have a silly story and an explanation for the hickey on my neck. P.S. It really is a bruise and I really did fall off the bed."

School Starts and Life Gets Complicated

Finally school has started. For some reason I enjoy the structure of someone else telling me where I have to be. If I didn't have them, I fear I would do nothing but watch Project Runway! I also love using my brain and talking with people about all the problems that exists in our current school systems. It's interesting and makes me feel like I'm going to make a difference as a teacher. On the flip side of my life, my little baby is crawling and pulling himself up on furniture. I swear we are mere moments away from walking. I remember holding him and just wishing he would grow up and sleep through the night, now I hold him and cry for my baby. I don't think I fully comprehended that this was the only time I would experience my first baby. First time I would cuddle my own baby and nurse him and hold him as a newborn. I am so excited about the future but I am just longing to re capture some of those moments. So my baby is well on his way towards being a toddler and I am well on my way to being a teacher. How life changes!

The Three Musketeers

My BABY, my neice and my nephew! They were all born in three months. December, Janurary and Feburary. It's been so fun to have so many babies in the family. It gives us sisters so much to talk about! Breast feeding, dialation, you know everything that men cringe at:) I'm excited for them to have cousins their age and be able to always have someone to play with.

Puppets?

Jake and I are performing as husband and wife on Charlotte's Web at UVU this fall. Bring all your kids there will be puppets and chase scenes it will be amazing!

I ALWAYS knew!

Every parent seem to believe that their child is the smartest, sweetest, cutest, strongest and all around bestest baby ever! Truth is I have found said child...as you may have guessed it is indeed Franklin Ben Suazo. Life is good at the Suazo house.

We are getting sealed on Saturday!!! It's finally here! I have been holding Franklin and asking him, "Can I have you forever?" He smiles and laughs. I think he knows I'm about to be with him forever. I must also admit that I am so very excited to lay next to my fantastic husband for the rest of eternity. That might be my favorite moment of my day. We are wound down, Franklin is sleeping and Jake is holding me in bed. I sleep better with him there, especially when we watch slightly scary episodes of Lost!! FOREVER doesn't seem long enough with my BOYS!

The gospel is true true true. I love my heavenly father, I love my Savior. I am thankful for the repentance process, I am thankful for the Plan of Happiness!

I love that my husband is working hard to make ends meet so that I can stay home with my beautiful baby. I am thankful for my parents. They let me live in their basement...can you believe that....too sweet. I feel full, I feel compelete. I want always to have this feeling and to remember the sweet feeling of the temple! Thank you for everyone that was there. You know who you are and you know how I feel about you. The church is True...there I said it!

YOUR PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED!

I made it into the secondary education program!!!!! I start my classes this fall. It feels like I have worked for this moment forever. I finally did it, I'm going to be a teacher!

Glorified Turkey Bowl

Last night was the monthly Mortimer family night. We all get together every 4th monday and have Family Home Evening. This particular Monday we decided to watch an arena football game at the Mckay Event Center! Now I realize I'm not much of a sports fan and I don't exactly see the appeal in most manly events. Having said that I once again was unimpressed with the male pursuit of entertainment. Arena Football was like watching a bunch of buddies getting together to throw the ball around. The guy in stripes threw flags every other play and the announcer had a rather femanine voice. "Let's make some noise you all!" I hate when a snotty manshe tells me to make noise for a sport I don't even understand! WHAT AM I WATCHING! Luckily for everyone I was with my favorite people....MY FAMILY! It's always nice to have some time with the but I vote next month we do something focused more at us women. I'm talking a family spa night or perhaps we could get together and have a sleepover with a pillow fight and paint each others nails. As long as I never have to hear that announcers voice again! HOORAY FOR FAMILY NIGHT! pictures posted later.

Finally!

March 13th I had my interview for the secondary Ed program! If accepted I will be a teacher in one year. I feel like the inerview went really well and I am waiting in anticipation. I have always wanted to be a teacher but for some reason didn't think I could make it through 4 years of college. Apparently I can make it through 5 years of college. I feel so ready to be done with college and move on in life. Having a baby now I'm not exaclty sure how much I will be teaching anyway but I want that degree, I worked hard for that! So wish me luck, send your prayers do whatever you have to do so that I make it into the program!

V to the DAY!

This is my first Valentine's with a Valentine! My wonderful husband Jake is surprising me with some sort of a date today! This morning I surprised him with a basket full of his favorite snacks and a little book I put together that tells our story. Here is the book I'll fill in the captions so you can read the story. Sorry if the first pic is too much I think it is hilarious and small so should be appropriate.

Once upon a time there was a handsome prince named Jake Ben

He was far handsomer then any other prince in all the land.

Not only was he handsome but he was talented
He was part of the famous Thrillionaires
He was funny, smart and super talented
He modeled for the most famous fashion companies

If anyone was to look at his life they would think he had everything!

But Jake felt like something was missing

On the other side of the country there was a young woman who thought she had it all. She was fearless and happy with how things in her life were going

Then it happened!
Fate stepped in
Fates name was Christopher Clark

Chris was doing a play at the local college and asked if Jake and Julie would be in the show.

Both accepted and started rehersals for The Heiress

Julie was sitting there just waiting for rehearsal to start when Jake stepped in the room. Immedietly he caught her eye.

Jake noticed Julie from afar and thought...Hmmm she's cute

All during rehersals they flirted and tried to get each others attention.

For months nothing happened

Then finally Jake Ben woke up and knew that Julie was the girl. The one thing he had waited for.

He proposed on a chilly night in a lightly lite park

Julie loved Jake and knew that she was suppose to be with him FOREVER!

On a warm day, May the 24th, to be exact the looked at each other and be together FOREVER!

Jake promised to fight off any other man that tried to love Julie

And to give up coffee

Julie promised to kiss him everyday and to make dinner, when she wasn't sick!

Now that they had vowed to love each other forever the next step was to baby a beautiful baby.

On Jan. 15th Franklin Ben Suazo was born and made the family complete.

Franklin was the perfect example of how much they loved each other.

It was inevitable that Julie and Jake Ben would love each other forever and ever.

With a husband like Jake Julie knew she would be happy ALWAYS!

So that was the whole book. I made him read it to me out loud because anytime I make him something he makes me read it. Oh how the table turned. He cried and we kissed it was a great morning. A great start to my FIRST V-DAY!

Guilt!

Oh the guilt! Being a mom is tough! I took Franklin into the doctor cause he was coughing and turns out he has a little cold. Nothing to worry about yet but could turn into something more. I can't believe how much you can blame yourself for stuff like this, "I shouldn't have taken him out." "Maybe that horrible little boy at the Chinese Buffet gave him the plauge!" All these things run through your head. I'm sanatizing everything in my house and praying it doesn't turn to RSV! Cross your fingers, say a prayer or do a chant. Just help a sister out here I've got to set this guilt aside!

Women's LiB!

I have made a decision! I believe the new law at a four way stop should be LADIES FIRST! I understand there may be some problems that arise, such as, What if two woman arrive at the same time? Should the prettiest go first? That could cause a world of mess! I mean I think I'm a 10 but what if the other drives thinks less of me. What if a person looks very androgynous you know, when you can't quite tell if it's a man or a woman. Yikes, that could be embarrassing! CRASH! I know I know there are a lot of holes in this new law but give me a little time I think I could figure it out. Also let's be honest shouldn't more things in life cater to women? If they did maybe we would have less violence and wars! Just a thought.

Warning!

When your pregnant people are very quick to give advice. They all know how to stop the aches and pains and they have sure fire ways to get that baby out! Truth is when your pregnant this is the last thing you want to hear. I could have hiked, played tennis, gotten frisky with my man or drank a truck load of Castor oil, my baby was not coming out without a little help. As soon as people find out your pregnant, the stories begin. "When I was pregnant my uterus exploded!" It's true one woman really related this story to me! Then when I was late and wanting nothing more then to have my baby the advice rolled in. Now it's the mocking comment about sleep! I'm tired and hormonal people, let's not laugh and point at the woman with the baby. Sincerely, yes, having a baby is one of the hardest thing I think I will ever do. The first two weeks are excruciating. I have been so tired that tears are a common part of my day. When the old lady died on Grey's Anatomy or when I was singing Can't help Lovin Dat Man of Mine to Franklin and missed Jake so much that I burst into tears. It's laughable now but at the time that song truly touched me! I'm exhausted and a little in pain, but once those first two weeks are over it really is livable. It's amazing how quickly you forget the pain of pregnancy, the pain of labor and delivery and the pain of taking care of a newborn and are just able to stare at this little human and fall completely in love! He is precious! Truly my best work to date. Here we go jumping in head first to mommyhood, what do I do? How do I figure this whole thing out? Don't worry everyone, NO ADVICE needed I just want to figure this out all by myself. The not knowing is what makes this all worth it!
